For a tsunami drill everyone grabs one of their little paperback textbooks, puts it over their heads and goes to the playground. I asked and the books do not serve as flotation devices! I also asked and they said no, they have never had a tsunami here!
The mayor's office was very interesting. We were welcomed, we did a little of our show, and to further peace between our two nations we got the mayor up doing the chicken dance! He gave us some very nice chopsticks and a chopstick rest.
After school Emily and I went to a very traditional Japanese restaurant for a huge dinner with some teachers and the exchange committee from Tokoname. There was way too much food. And some of it was a little scary, but we tried everything. The evening was very fun. The photographer who has been following us everywhere is very funny, as we're several of the other attendees!

What an incredible experience!
