Farewell party

Tonight was the farewell party held at the school.  There was laughter and tears and a couple of references to "cup o noodle." Koto and flute players entertained and we finished the evening by giving our hosts our chicken hats, and dancing, of course!

Last day at school

Farewell, Tokoname Higashi!

W began the day with a farewell assembly in the gym.  We just gave little speeches and they presented some gifts which I will proudly display at school!  They made a cute slide show of all of us and sang to us as we walked out of the gym. W also decorated the chalkboard in our world room.

W can't believe it is almost over!

Today each student was presented with a wonderful portrait drawn just for them,  These are truly delightful!

The last Wednesday

Today we did a class presentation and visited another school for a short cultural show.  That makes 5 for those of you keeping track at home.  That was the last one!  As we start to prepare to go home, we are starting to pack and some are wishing for another week in Japan!
